My client, a global FMCG company, is recruiting an experienced Assistant Brand Manager to join their successful team. Reporting into the Marketing Manger the main purpose of the role is to deliver volume, profit and revenue for the brand portfolio by developing strategy, plans and initiatives to achieve business objectives.


·Participates in the identification and evaluation of key brand issues, drivers and growth opportunities, accurately using a variety of data sources

·Supports the identification of research objectives, use of appropriate tools and can interpret and apply data.

·Supports the planning process for the brand and participates in the execution of objectives, strategies and plans based on business dynamics.

·Supports the development of targeted consumer information. Manages incorporation of research initiatives into consumer insights, identifying optimal consumer target and positioning.

·Analyse shopper and market segmentation, competition, SKU optimization, channel & portfolio strategy and marketing initiative effectiveness.

·Participates in the development of NPD ideas and leads on implementation of NPD after development from International marketing is complete.

·Participates in the development of channel specific strategies and executes distributor or customer specific consumer and trade marketing programmes.

·Supports the development, adaptation or optimisation of brand communication campaigns.

·Collaborates with the EMEA communications team to execute digital and social media initiatives including content development and adaptation.

·Prepares brand updates for the internal sales team and for customer & distributor meetings,

·Works with Forecasting and Customer Service to help manage brand or customer forecasting process.

·Responsible for day-to-day management of allocated brand budget, ensuring initiatives executed remain within this allocation.

The ideal candidate will hold a degree plus a minimum of 2 years’ brand marketing, trade marketing or sales insights experience within a major FMCG company. You must be skilled in drawing insights through consumer research data and trend information as well as being able to analyse and interpret commons technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. You must be an organised self-starter with strong decision-making skills.
